Looking For Lucy Buick

Lucy is a baby when she joins the Sandoni clan: Rocco (one of three Sandoni brothers) wins a Buick convertible in a poker game; Rhodi (one of five Sandoni sisters) finds Lucy abandoned in the backseat. Eighteen years later, all six of her Sandoni aunts having died, Lucy waits for a sign that it s time to leave the stifling New York household of her domineering uncles. After all, signs, as Rhodi taught her, are meant to be followed! So when a fire engulfs the Sandoni Brothers business, Lucy flees town. She heads west, getting off at Gardenia, Iowa, where the offbeat folk welcome her. The past, however, isn t easy to leave behind. Lucy s deceased aunts pay her regular visits. Lucy also fears that her uncles will track her down. Should she stay in Gardenia or should she push on? And as her old life catches up with her, Lucy feels lost. Buick Electra - The Buick Electra and the Buick Electra 225 were fullsize automobiles built by the Buick division of General Motors. Prior to 1959, the Buick Roadmaster and the Buick Limited constituted the upper echelon of Buick’s model range; for 1959 the Electra took the place of the Roadmaster, and the Electra 225 took the place of the Limited.

Buick Wildcat - The Buick Wildcat was a full-size automobile produced by the Buick Division of General Motors from 1962 to 1970. For its first year, the Wildcat was a variation on the Buick Le Sabre / Buick Invicta that mated the smaller full-size two-door hardtop Buick body (known as the "sport coupe," body production code 4647) with a high-performance 325-horsepower version of the 401ci Nailhead V8, known as the Wildcat 445 for producing 445 lb-ft of torque.

Buick Centurion - The Buick Centurion was sold by the Buick division of General Motors from 1971 through 1973, replacing the Buick Wildcat as the sporty rendition of Buick's full-size car. Visually the Centurion was nearly identical to the Buick LeSabre (lacking the portholes usually found on the LeSabre), but used the 455 in³ big-block V-8 and five-spoke "mag" wheels from the Buick Riviera GS.

Buick Invicta - The Buick Invicta was a full-sized automobile produced by General Motors’ Buick Motors Division from 1959 to 1964. The Invicta was a continuation of the Buick Century concept that mated the standard size Buick LeSabre (pre-1959, Buick Special) body with Buick's big block V-8 engine, yielding what was nicknamed the "banker's hotrod".
